Splunk, a Cisco Company, is Setting Records with Innovation Partner AWS

Splunk just marked 13 years of partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) — and the best anniversary gift we could have received came from you, our incredible customers. We’ve now hit $3.4 billion in sales on AWS Marketplace, including more than $1 billion in the past year alone.

Those numbers are astonishing, and this milestone only reinforces our drive to deliver the best to you.

We will keep pushing the boundaries of innovation for our customers on their security, observability, and cloud transformation journey by delivering end-to-end visibility, supercharging insights at scale with generative AI, and simply by being easy to do business with. And we’ll do it together with our friends and collaborators at AWS, in addition to our collective ecosystem.

A Look Back on the Splunk and AWS Innovation Journey

In 2012, Splunk joined the AWS Partner Network at its inception. Since then we have obtained a variety of AWS competencies, made Splunk Cloud globally available on AWS, and helped launch several key AWS Marketplace features.

We also developed the Workload Migration Program to help our joint customers migrate faster to the AWS Cloud. Not only does this program help our customers de-risk migration, but it also offers financial incentives to help them accelerate their cloud journeys.

More recently, Splunk and AWS partnered with 16 other technology companies to develop the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework or OCSF. This pioneering open-source framework, now part of the Linux Foundation, normalized data to a standard schema, breaking down data silos and enabling communication and interoperability among cybersecurity tools, platforms, and organizations.

That translates to more efficient threat intelligence for our customers, paving the way for faster detection, response, and mitigation of evolving cyber risks.

Our customers can see OCSF at work through our latest innovation, Splunk Federated Analytics and Amazon Security Lake. This integrated solution for centralized visibility and flexible data management helps customers effectively balance data volume, accessibility, and costs.

With data federation, users can search and analyze their data, whether in Splunk or their purpose-built, scalable data lake from AWS. They get near-real-time insights to better detect and respond to threats, deeper context for their security and business decisions, and streamlined operations and costs through optimized resources.

The Value of Partnership

Even though we may be 13 years in, the innovations from Splunk and AWS are just getting started. There are many more transformative offerings to come. We’re proud to help customers tap into the full value of their data and fuel their competitive advantage in the cloud. The world around us will always be evolving. With Splunk and AWS, you can meet any challenge, pushing the boundaries of innovation with confidence — just as we’ll be doing for you.

It’s been an honor to team up with AWS over the years to help strengthen digital resilience for our amazing customers. Thank you for taking us up on what we had to offer: not just efficiency and ease of integration and procurement, but the agility and security you need to empower a transformative future for your business. We couldn’t have reached this milestone without you.

Cheers to many more great years and milestones to come!
